Amazing POV – Downhill MTB Bike Race in Brazilian Slum

World renowned MTB-cyclists Dan and Gee Atherton did an impressive downhill through narrow streets of favela Dona Marta in Rio de Janeiro. The area is widely known as one of the most notorious and dangerous places in the city, where number of homicides per capita is highest in the world. Downhill specialists were greeted as welcome guests and people even prepared almost a typical carnival atmosphere. They took their cameras and filmed the whole thing and it looks spectacular. Who knows, maybe this was an early successful rehearsal and possible development for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016. The downhill was part of the Red Bull Desafio no Morro event.
