But what does that mean in practical work? Well, that tells us that on a list of 10 tasks only 2 of them really matter and are worth more than the other 8 together. If you want to attain your purpose the most important thing is to know which 20 percent of your work you must to do with the highest priority. It’s the way, personal development works.
Think about consequences
Effective evaluation of priority tasks is closely linked with the consequences on your professional and private life. It’s important you also complete tasks which bring beneficial consequences. Don’t satisfy with finishing only those which bring bad consequences if they won’t be completed.
Ask yourself the key question
Try to ask yourself continually: “How could I spend my time in the best possible manner?” Try hard to answer this question and follow your fair answer. Of course, certain level of self-discipline is needed, but this approach really gives you the edge in supreme solving of every situation and reaching the goals you have set for yourself.
Go right into the action
Make a list of all the task you have to do today and mark the most important 3 out of them. Then imagine receiving a big cash prize at the end of the month of you’ll spend every minute of your work in the best possible way. Would you change the way of your work, if you’ll really get 100,000 dollars at the end of the month? What would you change to be even more effective?
