Brain Training – Improve Your Memory

With the help of brain training, you can improve your cognitive skills and develop the super memory. Even if it’s hard to believe, socializing and quality sleep can evidently improve your memory. If you think, you can do things better, try this techniques, which can wake up your brain and skyrocket your personal development without doing heavy mathematical exercises, solving heavy logic drills.

Limit the alcohol intake. If you’re a moderate drinker, alcohol can partially protect you from cardiovascular diseases, bud if you’re a hard-drinker, your brain is shrinking. The more alcohol you drink, the smaller is volume of your brain and this really affects the quality of your memory.

Quality sleep stimulates your memory and enables the brain to process the information which were picked up during the day. To be able to sleep well, try to avoid day naps and go to bed every day at the same time. Also wake up every day at the same time. Stay active during the day and avoid physical activities late in the evening, which can wake you up. Don’t eat heavy meals late in the evening and try to read before going to bed.

Avoid exposure to neurotoxins. There are other things around you that can harm your memory. These are chemicals found in your proximity and also some conservation stuff found in food. It’s almost impossible to avoid having contact with all of them, but you can certainly choose raw and ecologically produced vegetables and fruits over cans of meat and vegetables. It’s also crucial to exercise on fresh air. These measures certainly have a major impact on your brain’s health.

Do brain training regularly. Brain training doesn’t mean that you have to spend hours and hours reading heavy literature, solving logical puzzles or do mathematical exercises. But there are some practices that can help your brain to create new associations and connections between certain parts of brain. And this is crucial to develop your memory. The essence of this exercises is to change daily routines, like wearing the watch on the other hand than usual, taking shower in dark or brushing teeth wit other hand than usual.

Diversify your life.
Exercises for your brain mustn’t be a routine. Try something new every day, like eating foods from cuisines all over the world you’ve never tried before, diversify your exercises (try jogging for aerobics for example), spend more time with kids.

Learn new things, expand the horizon. It’s widely known, that are people who are more curious in their childhood, also more mentally active in their advanced years. Activity actually prevents “ageing” of the brains. Therefore, always try to improve your level of knowledge in all areas. Read books, learn foreign languages or playing a musical instrument. It’s never too late, what also recent studies have shown. Even 70 and more years old people who started train their brains improvements of mental abilities were almost incredible.

Spend your free time in good company. Psychologists have found out that chatting also positively affects memory and even the capability of complex thinking. Ten minutes of chatting can be equally beneficial to your memory than ten minutes of intellect related activity.

    Excellent advice. We hear a lot about physical health, often neglecting the brain. Fortunately scientists have begun to demonstrate that the brain isn’t fixed. Even as adults we generate new brain cells daily. Stimulating this growth and channeling it into positive brain fitness requires careful exercise as you point out.
