The 10 Commandments for Year 2010

Do you remember, how many times you have promised yourself, you’ll lose weight or stop smoking as soon as new year begins? And do you remember, how many times you have eaten your words? The problem may not be you, it may be the promises – too many, too heavy to do, too unrealistic. Well, it’s about time to set yourself realistic goals to assure that year 2010 will be a success. We propose some simple goals here that are easy to attain.

1. Your weight isn’t important. Neither is your height. Set this unimportant numbers aside and forget about usual facts like age and signs of getting older. Just try to live healthy and happy live and the results will come from themselves.

2. Keep only the smiling and happy friends. Grumblers are good only for spoiling your pleasure to live. If you’re one of the grumblers, please, try to laugh more. Life can be so beautiful.

3. Learn new things everyday. Try to learn more about computers, gardening, learn foreign languages or anything, you would like to know and improve. You’re never too old to learn something new, so keep your brain busy and you will stay healthy and happy.

4. Enjoy in simple things and value small matters. Too much expectation can lead to big disappointments.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Just laugh out loud, when someone tells or does something funny. That’s why Commandment #2 is that important.

6. Crying is not a sin. Tears come and vanish. Cry, mourn for the loss and then go forward. The only person that’s with you to the end of your life is yourself. Live, while you’re alive.

7. Surround yourself with things you really like. This could be family, friends, memories, hobbies, plants or anything else you really like. Your house is your shelter.

8. Take care for your health. If it’s good, preserve it, if it’s bad, try to improve it. If you can’t improve it, search for medical help.

9. Take the time to rest. Sleep longer for at least once a week, calm down body and soul and recharge your batteries.

10. Tell people, you like, that you really like them, whenever possible. Even if that means several times a day.
