Laughing is Good for Your Heart
A good laugh can be a great natural medicine for your heart. One of the most recent studies has shown that people who laughed while watching a comedy show increased the dilatation of blood vessels by 20 percent for up to one day.
While watching some serious documentary the arteries were constricted by almost twenty percent. As you may know, constricted blood vessels can lead to increased blood pressure which is one of the most common diseases of modern world and can also lead to cardiac arrest.
Happiness is associated with the release of happiness-bringing-neurotransmitters which have beneficial effects on the body, says David Katz, MD, director of the Prevention Research Center at Yale university School of Medicine. The study mentioned above was led out at University of Texas in Austin.
