10 Minutes Exercise Helps Against Depression

Just 10 minutes of moderate intensity exercise can help those, who suffer from depression and anxiety to improve their confidence and self-esteem. This short exercise also provides positive distraction and coping skills. Experts advise the following steps when beginning an exercise program to help relieve depression.

First identify what you really like to do

Do what you enjoy to help you stick with it. The feeling of joy while exercising is one of the most important factors to succeed in any area of your life.

Set reasonable goals

First you need the plan which is in equilibrium with your needs and abilities. It’s better to do something than doing nothing because of unrealistic goals you set before you start exercising.

Your exercise is a gift rather than a burden

Look at your exercise plan in the way you’re looking at your therapy sessions or medication. It’s one of the tools you can choose to get better. The exercise is actually a depression treatment you want don’t need prescription for.

Overcome your internal constraints

Try to answer thinking about stopping from exercising with something that you can counteract with. Give yourself a goodie and a praise for every step you take in the right direction and I mean every step, even the smallest one. Try to be disciplined and take notes about exercises.
