Athletic Effort for Cancer Prevention

jogging-cancer-preventionAccording to the results of a study, made by Finnish researchers endurance is the most effective protection against cancer for men. It’s also extremely important how intensive the training is.

There are many things on this world which have a cancer preventing effect. Foods like berries, green tea or fish, but according to Finnish scientists endurance is the most important cancer preventing factor for men. This is particularly true for lung and colon cancer. The scientists observed a group of 2,560 male Finns for 17 years and  the study showed that the most active men less likely fall ill by cancer.

The more intense the better

Interestingly, it came on the endurance – the more fatigue making the sport, the more protection it offers. Men, who are jogging daily for half an hour can reduce the risk of dying early from cancer to 50 percent, said Sidhir Kurl, a study author and medical director at the University of Kuopio. The observation that exercise has preventive effects, is not in itself surprising, but the fact that it obviously depends on the intensity of physical effort is new. As the Finnish study shows, the most exhausting sports are responsible for the highest level of cancer prevention. Do you need another reason to start with doing sports?
